FAQs

Are my results secure?

Our online portal delivers secure and confidential test results, with the highest certification standards for data security and privacy. Our platform is HIPAA-compliant, SOC 2 certified, PIPEDA-compliant, PCI-certified, and GDPR-compliant. Results will never be shared with third parties or outside sources without your consent.
Are the labs certified?

Our lab(s) meet state and federal level inspection standards and are CLIA-certified (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments).

For regulatory reasons, our tests are not available in NY.

 
Can I access APOE and biomarker testing without a membership?

You can only access our biobanking and brain health tests—APOE, biomarkers, and cognitive test—with an active membership.
Will my personal activity tracker work with your app?

Link your wearable data and get started tracking your daily activity. We currently connect to these activity trackers (others coming soon):

How can I share my APOE results that I already have with my BH Educator?

You can upload your APOE results directly into our HIPAA-compliant app. Your Educator will review the results with you and answer any questions you may have. You will receive a credit for an additional three months of membership in place of the APOE test. 
What is your membership cancellation policy?

After the first three months, you can cancel at any time.
Can I use my FSA/HSA funds to pay for a membership?

We can provide an out-of-network invoice for submission. Not all insurance plans reimburse for our services at this time. Please check with your individual insurance provider for further questions.
Are there any computer system requirements for the BrainHealth app?

Access our app on any mobile, tablet, or computer devices. Here is a list of currently accepted devices and connectivity requirements.
